080 || Letting Grief Fuel Your Dream || Halley Mastrolonardo

Ep. 80 Show Notes.png

Halley Mastrolonardo of Wild Grace Collective is a wife, soon-to-be mom, faith and lifestyle blogger, and lettering creative. She loves to share her faith and the Gospel through writing and creativity.

Her dream is to encourage other women in their faith and life journey and remind them of their worth and value by speaking of God’s love and grace. A Southern California native, she and her husband Daniel are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child any day now.

IF YOU HAVE EVER STRUGGLED TO DEFINE YOUR DREAM, THIS WAS THE EPISODE FOR YOU.

As she prepares to meet their first child, Halley shares the best advice she’s received thus far: to know your season of life. I believes that applies to all of us as it relates to our God-shaped dreams. Halley teaches us about letting go of what people think of us—and how that connects to confession and transparency in our lives.

She talks about how grief, surprisingly, was the thing that spurred her on to pursue her dream. In fact, she says taking those risks to move forward was the thing that kept her from drowning in despair. Finally, she offers a great reminder to take chances, even when you’re afraid. You never know what God’s going to do with your obedience!

SCRIPTURE:

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,
it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

~ John 12:24 (ESV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will
forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

~ 1 John 1:9 (NIV)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
~ Philippians 4:4 (ESV)

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
~ 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT)

Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish,
in order that I may gain Christ

~ Philippians 3:8 (ESV)

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
~ 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)
