Hey, I’m Merritt –
If we haven’t met at a playdate with our kids or during passing of the peace at church, I am a Christian wife and mom of two, and I fully embrace my love of grocery store sushi, the perfect avocado, and well-worn flip-flops – right up until it’s 47 degrees outside.
I spent 15+ years attempting to uncover my dreams from the traps of fear, comparison, and the feeling that I’m “not enough.”
When I started my podcast in 2016, I interviewed women I saw as accomplished dreamers. You know the ones — they are noticeably bold, have ZERO traces of fear, ready to take risks, and always seem to be riding a wave of confidence and success.
But I was wrong. Experience didn’t cure their fears.
Every one of them shared with me that fear still played a part, her dream still felt intimidating at times, and the remedy she found was not in giving up but in drawing near to Jesus and growing her trust in Him.
I wanted some of that. And I want it for you too.
This is why I launched The Dreamer Lab, where every week I gather creative women and facilitate honest, heartfelt dialogue to help us all remember who created us and why.
The Dreamer Lab is the kind of community I needed,
and now I’m blessed to share it with you.

Are you in?
I want you to know — This is possible and it’s possible for you!
You already have what you need to pursue your dream because God is with you. He stands beside, watches over you, even rejoices over you with loud singing (yes, it actually says that in the Bible). No matter what actions you do or don’t take, He loves you because He loves you!
But here’s my gentle warning:
Don’t wait to feel ready because that day will always remain off in the distance, unreachable because it seems like there’s still something left to do, learn, or accomplish first or some way to prepare yourself or be more “prayed up” in order to start. That’s simply not true (unless your dream is to become a heart surgeon, then maybe you should make your way to medical school).
“I’m not ready” is often fear talking, and fear is just a feeling.
We all have fears.
The enemy tries to use them to his advantage because he wants to keep your dream hidden. He wants you to feel alone, insignificant, uninspired, aimless and unworthy (those are also feelings). However, you are a daughter of the Most High King and if God has given you a dream, there is a reason for it. Even if it feels hard.
If that’s where you are, dwell with the Lord in His Word to learn who God is, who you are, what His purposes are in the world, and how He uses broken, imperfect, sinful people like us to bring His kingdom to earth. It’s all there, and it’ll knock your socks off when you begin to understand it.

It is a big commitment to seriously consider God’s assignment for you. You might feel uncertain, even scared. You’re not the only one; in fact, I’ve answered some common questions I get asked about the Dreamer Lab. If your question isn’t here, please reach out to me. How do I know if this group is right for me?
If you're a Bible-believing Christian woman with a dream on your heart (even if you aren’t sure exactly what it is or how it will play out), and you’ve been looking for a supportive community of women who understand the thrill and excitement plus the resistance and difficulty of birthing something brand-new, the Dreamer Lab is for you.
If you're not a Christian but are exploring the faith and have a sincere desire to know Jesus as your Savior, you will be blessed by our weekly interactions and the foundation of everything we do resting on God’s Word, which never returns void and always accomplishes its purpose (Isaiah 55:11).
Do I need to know what my God-shaped dream is to participate?
The group is designed to meet you where you are on the journey to a God-shaped dream whether or not you know what shape it will eventually take. If you have an idea on your heart that you want to pursue and you’re seeking community and accountability because you realize that’s the thing that will help you finally begin to take action, this is the place for you!
How many people will be in the group?
I open up 10 seats each quarter. Once those seats are filled, the doors will close to new members until the following quarter. This type of group functions best with at least 4 members. Should there be fewer than 4 members registered, I will either refund those payments (minus processing fees) or transfer payment to the next available cohort.
What if I am unable to attend one of the weekly calls?
The weekly meetings are hosted on Zoom, recorded and available to members within 48 hours following the call. Should you need to miss one or two, please set aside time that week to watch the recording. If you need to miss more than two sessions in a quarter, consider enrolling at a later date as the in-person calls play an important role in the group experience.
Do you offer refunds?
Because there are a limited number of spots available and your payment secures your spot (thus making it unavailable for another member) I am unable to offer refunds after the doors close except as mentioned above with regard to the minimum number of members in the group. Of course, if you register and learn you cannot participate, you may transfer your membership to a friend and work out the payment with her OR transfer your membership to a later cohort within 6 months. All transfer requests must be submitted to Merritt for approval prior to the cohort Kick-Off Call.
I’m not sure this is the right time for me. When will you offer this group again?

I’m Merritt, and I am a lover of Jesus with a desire to reflect gospel truth, hospitality, and compassion for the lost, hurting, and hesitant in their faith.
I was saved from a life of self-interest, partying, and promiscuity at the age of 30 and experienced a long season of spiritual transformation in which the Lord began healing the years of my life that the locusts had eaten.
It is my deep conviction that our wounds and the sins/behaviors/beliefs we were saved from can become part of the path God uses to open our eyes to needs in the world and to possible God-shaped dreams.
My experience has deeply shaped my God-shaped dream:
To see His women set free from the bondage of imposter syndrome, comparison, and fear so that they can partner with the Lord to pursue the purposes prepared for them before the beginning of time.
Once we’ve set our mind on things above (Colossians 3:2), the next steps to living out a God-shaped dream involve taking messy action. We all struggle to do that alone and once I understood that the DREAMER LAB was born!
I’m an ISF/TJ and an Enneagram 1w9. My top Strengths are Adaptability, Harmony, Connectedness, Input and Restorative. I am a life-long learner, passionate educator, and a stickler about details (that’s my Enneagram 1), however I perpetually have a messy desk (that makes my husband crazy) and I’m beginning to own the creativity God placed within me (and upon which I blame my messy desk).
I live near Denver, Colorado, and share a home with my husband of 15 years, our two girls (ages 10 and 7), and my sweet octogenarian dad who has recently become a widower.
