Fear is a common feeling once you start chasing your God-shaped dreams, but this fear is not from God. We have a very real enemy who seeks to steal, kill and destroy you and your dreams.

Thankfully, and more importantly, we also have a good Father in heaven who loves and cherishes us, and He wants to empower courage in us, especially in the face of fear.

In this episode, you’ll learn four strategies to overcome the fear and anxiety you feel related to pursuing a God-shaped dream. You will learn how to create your own plan, like I did, to take steps forward, despite your fears.

IF FEAR HAS EVER KEPT YOU FROM PURSUING YOUR DREAM, THIS WAS THE EPISODE FOR YOU.

Fear is the struggle I hear about most frequently from listeners and guests on the show. So, you’ll also hear why it’s important to discern what is driving your fearful feelings and gain insight on trusting God to intervene on your behalf.

If you feel fear about pursuing your dream, you are not alone. Don’t let the enemy tell you that. It’s a lie. Instead, listen to my story and decide, based on your own situation, what steps you can take next to stop fear from stealing your dream.

This solo episode is tied directly to my last four solo episodes, listed below, in case you want to listen in order.

SCRIPTURE:

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

~ Joshua 1:5-9 (NIV)

Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
~ Daniel 6:21-23 (NIV)

And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell bound into the burning fiery furnace.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”

~ Daniel 3:23-25 (ESV)
