246 || [Solo] The #1 Reason to Start Pursuing Your Dream before You Feel Ready || Merritt Onsa

Have you delayed your dream because you don’t feel ready yet?

One of the biggest lies keeping dreamers stuck is thinking you are lacking something necessary to begin. It’s like there’s a box to check, an accomplishment to achieve, or a degree to earn before you can truly begin on the dream in earnest. Well, that’s simply not true.

IF YOU’VE BEEN WAITING TO FEEL READY TO START, THIS IS THE EPISODE FOR YOU!

Do you ever stop to imagine that day when you’ve actually accomplished what God put on your heart? You finally wrote that manuscript, or applied for an LLC for your business, or you’ve got all your board members in place for your nonprofit and you’re about to file for 501(c)3 status, or you’ve booked that event on the calendar and it’s finally happening!!

Whatever it is for you, sit with that for a minute. Imagine yourself there! Imagine it is possible! And then go listen to this episode for the number one reason why you cannot wait to feel ready before you get started on your dream.

In this episode, you’re going to hear:

  • What’s at stake if you wait to feel ready

  • The truth about what pursuing a dream is really like (instead of what you’ve made up in your head)

  • Strategies for starting before you feel ready

And that’s not all. There’s one factor that will make the biggest difference in how you feel about beginning a project that feels unfamiliar, intimidating, and overwhelming – building a support team around you. Scripture:

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”

When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look,
God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!”

And Moses said, “Here I am.”

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—
and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

~ Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
